When I was trying to heal, I read a lot of books. At first I thought I could find the answer in them.
I thought they would help me find my way out of the darkness. I will be honest, they didn't do what I wanted them to
do. I thought that I would read a book and that all of the pain would go away. I was missing the point made in
every book ever written for and/by rape survivors. The point is you have to let it go yourself. Nothing and no
one can take it away from you. You have to be the one to let it go. It sounds like it is an easy task but I also
I know that it is not, but we all can do it. These books should not be used as how to guides, but they should serve
an inspiration that you can do it, too.

Survivors of abuse suffer various problems in the aftermath. These problems may continue to
haunt them well after the abuse has ended. I have included some of the things that I or some of my friends have suffered
because of abuse. I do not think this list is no where near being complete and I will continue to add links to this
site as I grow. If anybody as any additional links that they would like to see added to this site please feel free to
e-mail me at HeyJupiter@cs.com .
There are places where you can go when you need help. There are others out there who will
listen and extend a helping hand.
